Amounted to which added to brought forward makes a total at credit of profit and loss account of Dividends amounting to and the directors' percentage of pro fits, have been paid; also GBP459 has been provided to meet repairs and replacements and so maintain the renewals and replacements fund at leaving a balance to be carried forward of An interim dividend, No. 19 of 735 per cent. (1s. 6d. Per share), in respect of the current year will be paid on the 27th instant. Milling operations resulted in a profit of The results of development work in depth have been disappointing, and the ore body at and below the 20th level appears to be unprofitable. Ex ploratory work is being pushed ahead as fast as possible on both the 2oth and 2lst levels. The monthly tonnage treated will be reduced to tons a month commencing 1st July, 1917. The main shaft remains as'last year; that is, down to the l6th level - a vertical depth of feet. The auxiliary shaft from the 16th level was sunk 435 feet, making the total vertical depth from the surface feet. Work on this shaft has since been stopped pending the discovery of further pay values. The winze to the 18th level was stopped at 94 feet. It indicates with high values reduced, a value of 134 dwts. Over 52 inches in width. The ore reserves stand at, tons of 106 dwts. Value, as against tons of 121 dwts. Value' last year, showing a small decrease in both tonnage and value.
