Description

"The Ultimate Cubs Companion" is a new and updated encyclopedia with all the information every Cubs fan will want. If it's statistics you want, we've got'em. From batting registers to pitching register, from fielding stats to baserunning stats, this book provides the statistics (year by year and career) for every player to ever spend time in a Cubs uniform. It includes records by year, by manager, by general manager, and even by owner. Fans will find where the Cubs ended up in each year's National League pennant race, read about the twenty-five greatest games in Cubs history, and read a year-by-year history of the team's broadcasters. Going beyond the stats, the book presents information on some of the top players and years in Cubs history. Each Cubs postseason appearance gets its own special section too, with box scores, series evaluations, and playoff-specific statistics. There's also information on each Cubs all-star, award-winners such as Cy Young and MVP recipients, and Hall of Famers who've spent time on the North Side. Fans can also read about the history of the Cubs farm system, see a listing of free-agent signings, and get statistics on the team's draft picks throughout the years. If it happened to, for, or with the Cubs, then the Companion has it covered. Fans who want to start winning some barroom bets at Murphy's can pick up and read "The Ultimate Cubs Companion", and they'll be drinking for free soon enough!
