There are also collections of Alekhine's games published in Russian and other languages. These volumes are popular because of Alekhine's bold, aggressive and imaginative style of play. Fred Reinfeld found that there were many great games by Alekhine that had not been included in these volumes. He set about collecting and going though these games. He found 102 interesting and exciting games not found in the other volumes. So he called it "The Unknown Alekhine". These games are all thoroughly annotated in Descriptive Notation. Several of these games are not to be found in the chess databases that now contain millions of games. Here is an exciting book for the chess enthusiast. Fred Reinfeld, the popular American chess master, brilliantly analyzes and annotates over one hundred of the games played by Alexander Alekhine in the early stages of his career. Much that is valuable can be gained by studying the developing strategy of one of the world's acknowledge masters of the game and this fascinating collection will greatly appeal to every keen player of chess.
