Description

These Wings Are My Own was written in hope to explore love's artifice and the possible limitations of souls naive and callous. It may even be seen as an experiment. The author uses the characters in the book to approach the question of what might happen to people, in general, if they were to give into their desires, good and bad and the possible structure of life after they surrender to indulgence and excess. This theory lies within the subject of Music. The main characters are musicians, but he instrument that holds the heart of the various characters is the piano. It pays tribute to many great pianists and their different creations and temperaments. It is not a book about fairytales and pumpkins but it is a book about how we, as tender souls attempt to reach that stage and it explores the question of whether or not we may be able to succeed. It is a book about a girl too young and a genius too old who share each other's lives in hope to achieve the above dream. It is about realisation, broken dreams, new dreams and reality intercepting those dreams. There are many characters within the plot who aid this journey, and it can be promised, that the reader was in the author's thoughts every step of the way, in essence, dear reader, this book was written just for you, with the hopefully possibility that you may take whatever you need from this story and apply it or not apply it to your lives, in any way you wish. Of course, there are parts which seem like a magnificent dream, but these crystal dreams lie next to reality, much like in real life.
