"Great Game" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Great game, great graphics and great game play. Also includes some of the top players and tournaments.

"Best So Far"

Top Spin 3 is a great game of tennis. It's got depth to the gameplay that will take a fair amount of time to master and solid online play, but outside of the controls developer PAM hasn't tried to do anything unique. The career mode is a little too basic and the lack of mini-games is a disappointment. Top Spin 3 is by far the best tennis sim on the market, but there's still plenty of room for improvement.

This is a good game for the discounted price. The graphics are very good, with the detailed variances to playing surfaces very good. However, this said the game itself is somewhat lacking. Varying your shots initially is very limited as would be expected, but it takes a long time to notice any real difference in the shot quality. Mastering the serve especially with the R3 button requires timing of the utmost precision, and using the special shot (R2) and angle (L2) buttons usually sends the ball long or wide.

Also, the lack of add-on's (eg) unlockable clothing, equipment and their effect on the player are either minimal or non-existant.

This said, Top Spin tennis is a good game to pass the time, but I would definately look more at Virtua Tennis if a special was to come up.

"Good game but..."
4 stars"

Top Spin 3 is a very good tennis game that tennis fans should pick up seeing as it is at a cheap price

Graphics are great in this game and look very crisp, even showing the linesmans hands stick out for a out call.

The gameplay is where the game is let down a little though. The controls seem simple but are actually quite difficult to pick up. It takes a while for you to actually hit a service return and positioning is key. If you move after you press the shot button you wont hit it which is frustrating as hell. Season mode is great though and keeps the game interesting.

Overall this is great for sports fans at the $60 dollar like prive on here and worth playing
