Pat has always enjoyed writing escapist fiction, particularly in the mystery genre, because such work gives the reader an opportunity to step outside the everyday world and experience places and situations that they would never encounter and use their mind to solve puzzles that might challenge the most astute detective. These stories stand out like photographs on a memory card or a flash drive, color and emotions that linger long after reading or viewing and tend to capture one's imagination. Such is case within her new book titled Toxic Tales of Sin, which not only provides a series of mysteries that one may enjoy solving, but also manages to integrate the serious topic of homicidal poisonings that occur surprisingly more often than one realizes. Her other novels Blood Pearls, Blood Image, Exotic Escape, A Shocking Reunion along with her short story collection Tales to Tease the Senses all incorporate that same enthusiasm for stimulating the imagination and enticing the reader to step into a world of the unknown. She and her husband, Jack, still enjoy traveling where plots and characters for new books fill her mind with novel ideas and exciting adventures.
