Just finished playing the demo available on the Playstation Network. First impressions… the environmental graphics are definitely outdated, even FarCry was more impressive on back on Xbox 2 years ago. But characters appear to be relatively well done. The enemy soldier AI appears to be somewhat intelligent enough, they can get back up if you only put a few rounds into them. The dinosaurs will probably be the only thing to save this game since we're not likely to see anything like them in any other franchise. Unfortunately there wasn't much opportunity to utilize the dinos against enemy soldiers. The weapons are pretty good, probably a bit too over powered but you really get a sense of oomph when they hit their target. Each weapon also has a secondary mode – shotgun fires flares, SMG has a silencer, pistol has a rapid fire, etc… and you can also weild two at once (even two shotguns!)
I will most likely buy this eventually when it's on special but right now its not on the top of my list when there are so many great games slated for release over the next few months.
