My replacement DVDs still had locking bars (Grrrrr!) but at least they were unlocked and I could remove them, which should have been done before they were sent to me.

The contents are of course, fantastic! This is one of the wittiest, most with it series ever devised. The lead character is very attractive, but snarky, and ultra perceptive. Her unwitting father has trained her to snoop into affairs outside her supposed scope. She uses these skills to work for her school mates and others. The truth, when found, is rarely as anyone would want, and the failings within her community become glaringly obvious to Veronica as she pries into ther goings on in Neptune, a town of privileged brats and a struggling underclass, to which she belongs. A brief period in the golden glow of the wealthy has left her present ostracism unbearable, and our plucky protagonist must use all her considerable resources to combat the threat from withiut and from within. Superb viewing, highly recommended.

I fell in love with this show when It aired here. I stumbled across it one day when I was home sick from school. Loved it so much I remember it a year or so later a brough season 1. Great show, Great Charactors with FANTASTIC storylines.

You fall in love with all the main charactors. And if you get this season you might as well get Season 2 at the same time as I guaruntee you will want to!

Each and every episode of this cliff hanging series was better than I could have ever imagined. The characters in the show are addicitve! I wasn;t able to turn off the DVD's all weekend. Will definitely be purchasing the next season's!

"Neo-noir at its finest!"
5 stars"

There is more to Veronica Mars than meets the eye. Like the best film noirs, it strips down its setting, the fictional town of Neptune, to reveal corruption and lies boiling underneath. The tone of the first season is relentlessly bleak.

Central to the story is Veronica's investigation of her best friend's murder. Don't let Veronica's feminine persuasion fool you, though; she is as tough any of her male noir counterparts. Even in the weaker episodes of the season, her character is given time to develop, along with the relationship with her father, easily the best parent-child dynamic ever on television.

Any fans of film noir elements shouldn't hesitate to pick up the first season of Veronica Mars. In fact, fans of good television should check it out immediately.

Veronica Mars (the character) is sassy, witty, smart and makes for a great private investigator! Veronica Mars (the show) is full of crime, romance and humour. The most exciting aspect to this show is Veronica and her P.I father trying to solve the murder of Veronica's best friend, Lily Kane! The show gets more exciting with every episode, making for a shocking season finale! A MUST BUY!
