Michelle Path is an award-winning children's book author with 22 books published to date. She was brought up with a love for reading, which developed into her passion for writing. She writes books to inspire and encourage children to read, often using humour and irony to engage young readers. Michelle also uses her books to instil important messages and morals, including caring for the environment and animals. Through a wide array of characters and imaginary worlds, Michelle creates stories that capture children's imagination and challenges them along the way to encourage literacy and general knowledge of the world. Xalien the Purple Alien: Xalien Visits the Farm is the sixth book in her popular Xalien the Purple Alien series, which has picked up several awards, including a Purple Dragonfly Honourable Mention Award for Xalien the Purple Alien in 2016 as well as several Bizziebaby awards. When not writing, Michelle enjoys spending time with her horses and dogs. She loves the ocean and also enjoys going to see live bands and going to the theatre.
