"Good quality... bad price."
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Great piece of kit for the wireless network at home. No more unslightly cable running across, under or around the floor. The only one gutted in the house about the cables disapearing is my 15 month old who loves to chew them (swear he's a rabbit).

The price is the usual hefty tag we've come to know and despise from Microsoft, especially when compared to the PS3 that has one built in. Still, great product, no drop outs to date and lag is virtually non existent.

Best to buy when Mightyape puts them on special. Managed to get 30 bucks off the retail price through this site, so keep your eyes peeled.

"Good product but too expensive!"
3 stars"

I'm an avid 360 Fanboy who owns 2 Xbox 360s. However, this wireless network adapter is just too expensive!

It's a great product in theory but the price alone is just not worth the convenience of having a wireless vs wired connection.Similar wireless adapters for PCs (e.g. USB sticks) sell for $30 – $100.

The one thing that MS need to take into consideration is that the PS3 comes with built into it and not one of the 360 models do. Drop the price MS.

"Ridiculous!"
3 stars"

I still cant believe how much this costs, and its not just here but everywhere else ive looked. Its hard to swallow that the PS3 and the Wii are both wireless stock standard but for the 360 you have to fork out another $170! and thats on top of the fact that your xbox 360 will probably get the 3 red light error sometime soon. Xbox 360 has by far the best range of games and their online community is great, but $170!?!?! come on… wheres the balaclava and gun? (i know this isnt the fault of the retailers)

"Awesome"

I live in a two level house so wiring up is not an option. I researched into all the options and … This is the cheapest wireless item you can get! It's connection is fantastic and is soo helpful in many games. I highly recommend this product to any one in a two level house with the computer upstairs and xbox down stairs.

This is a great network adaptor!. Its put into good use if you have a two story house as it clears the mess of having a 10 meter cord all over the place. Its a quick breze to setup even my 3 year old son could do it.The price is a bit high but its worth it.

"really great deal"

I love my Xbox, have had it for nearly 3 years and never had the chance to play online because of having a two storied house but this thing really does the trick, its awseome… I mean the price is a bit heavy but this is the best price around for buying it online.. so i think its an incredibly good deal..

Easy to install and works well.

"Works straight out of the box"

This is a hassle free way to get your Xbox360 online without the use of cables. Getting the wireless going is a straight forward exercise – remove from packet, plug into the Xbox, follow the prompts to setup the wireless security … and away you go. Just remember you do need to have a wireless network / router already setup – and if you have any questions just ask your kids :-)

Simple to setup – and works as it should. Well worth the investment to get rid of cables!

"BRILLIANT"

Its worth every cent. No wires everywhere for you to trip over, way easy to set up on your own and it is lag-free which is awesome (unlike those internet cords which they lag like anything if they have a kink in them). I recommend it :)

"Xbox360 wireless adapter is good!"
4 stars"

This product is a must-have for any Xbox360 owner. It makes it easy to connect and Xbox Live multiplayer is the best part about Xbox360. Downsides- too expensive and the connection strength is not extremely strong.

"Not worth it anymore, buy the new one"
3 stars"

When it works its great, no lag at all most times. But the bigger issue is the random connection drops and failure to detect network at times (and if you're an online gamer like me, this is totally unacceptable)

I have a serious piece of router, so it's definatly a problem on the WiFi adapters end.

When I first bought it, I was stoked, now 3 months later the cracks are starting to show more than ever.

"Works wonders."

I have had no problems at all with the adaptor, it has a great range and is very easy to setup. My one gripe is that it uses a USB port which luckily I have an HD-DVD drive otherwise I would have to have the 360 camera plugged in the front.

"Expensive, but very easy to setup"

In theory any wireless network USB dongle will work with your Xbox360, but for simplicities sake you can't beat official adaptor. It would get perfect score if it wasn't so overpriced – at $124.95 Mighty Ape does seem to have the best new price around. Setup from the Xbox360 is a breeze, but if you are a network novice (like me) make sure you have your wireless modem manual handy, and a guide to wireless security protocol so you use the appropriate settings to create your network (I just looked it up in wikipedia myself – search on WEP and WPA).

"Great-ish Product"
3 stars"

Wireless is just simply fantastic for a console, the price tag however is quite frankly ridiculous. And it does have some issues talking to some wireless routers, if you are having trouble with this I recommend the 3com Router range. So after spending $170 on Adaptor then having to buy a new wireless router it worked great.

As others have said if you can get it on sale here from Gameplanet then its a win and you save yourself $20–30! :)
