Xbox One X Console reviews

Got this on the day of release and have been blown away by the visuals on my 4K HDR 55' TV. The difference from my old console is breath taking and Halo 5, Rise of The Tomb Raider and Gears are a revelation even paying them through a second time. Have got Wolfenstein and Assassins Creed Origins ready to go once I have played through the others and from the reviews they both look like they will take full advantage of the consoles power..

Console gamers can now experience top tier visuals normally reserved for high-end PC's. I game on a 4K HDR 730ex and a 1080p AOC 144hz monitor. The sheer image quality and performance in 4K HDR is Phenomenal but I was blown away with how sharp and lush it looked on the monitor thanks to built in supersampling. There's a lot of technology in the box, even games that havn't been 1X enhanced automatically look, run and load better which is insane for a game console.

Draw backs.. Not many 1TB HDD could be bigger but 3.0 external HDD support is good. It's small, quiet, loads fast, backwards compatible, 4K BluRay, Dolby Atmos and has a great games library.

Love the Xbox X. Find it snappier and you got to be right up to it to hear the fan, its very quiet.

Playing Tomb Raider in 1080p and set to 4k is still even sharper. Well worth it even if you dont own a 4k tv.

Outstanding console love the graphics since I have a 4K tv huge difference. But if don't have a 4K tv don't bother. But not enough games from my experience.

Bought this unit with a 4k TV. Looks amazing! When comparing witcher 3 graphics on a xbox-s using the same TV, this unit just looks incredible. Well worth it for the performance boost too. It's everything I hoped it would be

This console is so cool. I can't believe how powerful it is for its size. It runs so quietly, and with a 4K TV, I've never had a cleaner gaming experience. Elder Scrolls Online runs noticeably smoother with quicker load times, fewer frame drops and looks gorgeous with the 4K enabled. Highly recommend purchasing if you have a 4k tv and play enchanced games.

The Xbox One X is obviously fantastic. Mighty Ape’s shipping service was also fantastic. On the 27th December, it was due to arrive on the 3rd or 4th Jan. I decided to pay the extra $8 for same day shipping, and the Xbox only took about 6 hours to make it to my front door. I live in the South Island as well.

This is the first time I have owned the newest console that is out there and I am quite impressed. Compared to the Xbox 360 (which was my last unit) the picture is so much clearer, the console is very quiet and does not overheat and the controller is great. Everything is just better and I think the price is very cheap.

When recently upgrading to an UHD 4K TV it quickly became apparent to take advantage of the extra resolution that we would need a 4K BluRay Player, wanting to upgrade the Xbox as well we could kill two birds with one stone!

No killer app yet for me, but it does everything an Xbox One does, but better. No complaints here.

Definitely worth the upgrade

The price, delivery, product are all excellent. I was totally suprised by the 4k gaming!

Certainly the best Xbox console ever made, and a must for any body with a 4K television with HDR to make full use of this console.

Had it since launch, my experience so far:

GOOD – its faster, smoother and quieter than x1s, no lag during any gameplay, no more close to 2 mins load time per race for Forza 7 maybe 20 sec now. Diablo 3 is matching PS4 Pro if not better. Gear 4 and Dead Rising 4 are nice and sharp. FIFA 18 field looks amazing. WoT and Warframes on par with PC 4K.

BAD – 3 crashes and 2 freezes since launch. once during initial setup while downloading patches, had to factory reset…then during Forza 7 installation corrupted the file and had to reinstall, once during endurance for Forza 7, could mean heat issue. lag and freeze while in MS store browsing and making purchases, never had that with x1s.

Once again, you will need 4K HDR TV to see the difference, and HDR 10 vs HDR 1K is huge, same as OLED vs LED. If you play Forza 7, the greatest improvement is NOT graphics, its the load time! I bought x1× just for Forza 7and Planet Earth II, so to mean, its worth the time I saved loading each race, if you dun play Forza… then thats up to you.

Been playing Fortnite mostly on it at the moment. No more lags and jitters midgame. Had my old Xbox One for 2 or so years and it would lag and freeze mid game. Xbox one X handles it no issues. Have not tried 4k yet, but 1080p 60hz game is great so far! I'm sure it will handle a more cpu/gpu intensive game I chuck at it with ease.
