"Not an Xbox, not quite a fridge"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

It's got the looks, it's nice and quiet, but this is definitely a cooler not a fridge. It lowers the temp of drinks only 3–5 degrees cooler than ambient room temperature. They're definitely not warm, but not very cold either. There is also no eco button as advertised unless that's marketing for ‘an on/off switch’, there's no middle setting. All in all it's a fun gift but I think it's going to really struggle to keep things cool when the warm weather hits.

"Got what I expected"

Keeps my beer cold which is all I want. Haven't tested it in the car but having a lighter connection & usb port is pretty neat. I dont think it'll run well in a warm place though, and needs to be turned off for 2 hours every 48 hours to prevent ice

"It’s ok, can’t use it as a proper fridge"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Looks neat, but can’t use it as a proper fridge, all I use it for is when gaming on the pc where I have it near my desk I’ll grab a few drinks and put it in there to keep cool while I game so I don’t have to get up. Instructions say not intended to be left on all the time. So I only turn it on while it’s being used then it’s off again. Leaving it on all night creates condensation inside the fridge, instructions says that’s normal too. So a little dissatisfied but it is what it is, still looks neat

"Do not buy"

This is not a mini fridge. Can't be left on; must be turned off intermittently. Items need to be chilled before placing inside. Looks cheap and nasty. Sending back.

"Seriously Xbox"

For all you Xbox Fans, this little Rig is awesome! It's around 3 times larger than my Xbox X and looks soo close to the real thing, except it isn't, yup it's what they call a Mini Fridge, as Scott says, it's more of a cooler than a fridge, I could only fit 10 × 330ml NZ cans of Coke inside it, 4 on the floor, 4 on the 1st shelf and 2 laying on their sides on the top shelf, it should be noted that the shelfs are completely removeable and you would be able to fit more in, say the V and Red Bull Skinny cans. It should be noted that the 2 candy shelfs built onto the inside of the door, actually protrude into the bottom and 1st shelf areas, but these 2 candy shelfs are removable as well. It even has a removeable condensation floor trap tray in the front, to collect any moisture. As well it's portable, yes it come with a 12 volt cord for plugging into you vehicle, so great for the campervan etc. It has 2 functioning buttons on the front door, 1 turns on the Round White Power Symbol on, as per the real machine and 1 to turn the Green Panel Light on the top of the rig on, it has a USB plug on the bottom right corner of the front door, haven't tested that yet. An On / Off switch next to the power lead plug at the top on the back. Yes its an Awesome gift for any Xbox Fan and a complete Gimmick item for sure. Absolutely perfect for any Gaming Pad / Cave!!!!!!

"Not a Fridge"
1 stars"

Even though they call it a fridge. It is not a Fridge. It is a electric cooler. Like the ones you use in a car. Infact it comes with a cigarette lighter plug to use it in a car. It doesn't not keep things cool. Only just below warm. It also can't be used constantly. It needs to be turned off when not using it. Which means it has to start cooling the drinks again every time you go to use it. Very disappointed for price tbh. Even on sale I wouldn't buy this. It's a cool gimic but they clearly focused on the meme and the design more than the functionality.

"Great fridge, not for everyone"
4 stars"

I knew of all the “complaints” before I even got the fridge. (I had googled it in anticipation), so when the fridge arrived, I installed a buck converter and reduced the fans input to 6v, making it harldy audible. I now have ZERO frosting, (and only minimal condensation forming on top/roof) I leave it on 24/7, have yet to measure drinks temperature but they are absolutely cold. Can fit 18 redbulls. But 9 is the sweet spot. (Over crowding the cooler will make it less efficient at cooling), for those that enjoy a bit of DIY, my latest mod was drilling a hole in the bottom of the housing (first layer of black housing only) and heating it with a heatgun, causing the bottom to convex and allow any condensation that forms on the inside of the housing to drain out. I 3D printed 4 15mm tall round feet to replace the foam pads on the bottom and slid a low profile drip tray underneath to collect. I feel I have solved every “complaint” that can be said about it and enjoy a cool redbull 24/7.

Looks good and can be plugged into Car Plugs but doesn't keep things cold and creates a lot of condensation. Most of the price is based on the Brand, not the quality.

"Looks cool but not product advertised"

Keeps drinks at semi old temperature, but not a fridge as many have been tricked by the tittle of the product. Overall still a cool looking product but not worth the money if you’re actually after a fridge.

"Looks better than it works."

The fridge itself looks good, however its rather poor quality. Issues being that it is noisy, doesn't get all that cold, creates a lot of moisture that leaks from the fridge, but the drain remains bone dry. Lastly the internal form factor doesn't make for efficient storage of any standard cans or mini cans.

If you are looking for a good quality mini fridge keep clear, however if you really want one that looks like an xbox and you can tolerate the flaws then it sort of works.

"Not a fridge not worth the money"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

To keep objects cool it requires you to have kept said object in a fridge beforehand and can't cool it past that temp, It requires time to cool down but can't be left on for more then a day without risks or condensation leaking out And finally the amount of noise it puts out makes it to distracting to be used when playing a game nearby unless you want people to hear you through the walls.

I would not recommend this item and I don't think it should be allowed to be advertised as a fridge.

"I have not had it for a year and it all really not working"

When I first got it I was like cool it’s not a real fridge but it would do and then all the blues started making really loud noises I don’t know why and then sly just doesn’t work any more it’s like it’s powers by Got burst so it was a bit of a waste of money at this point I wouldn’t really recommend getting it just get a normal fridge

"Xbox Fridge: Subpar cooling, overheating worries."
2 stars"

I recently purchased the Xbox Fridge with excitement, hoping to add a unique gaming-themed appliance to my setup. While my experience with this novelty item has been alright, there are some aspects that leave much to be desired, warranting a two-star review.

Firstly, the cooling performance of the Xbox Fridge is somewhat lackluster. It does not cool items to the same degree as a standard refrigerator. Personally, this is not a major concern for me, as I mainly use it to store drinks and snacks in close proximity while gaming. However, if you're expecting it to provide the same cooling power as a regular fridge, you may find it falling short of your expectations.

One notable feature is the cooling mechanism, which operates similarly to a computer's cooling system. The Xbox Fridge utilizes a computer fan at the top to dissipate heat. Unfortunately, this design choice leads to a significant drawback – the top of the fridge gets uncomfortably hot. I have concerns about the potential for overheating, especially considering the manual advises against leaving the fridge on for extended periods. This raises questions about the long-term durability and reliability of the product.

Another issue worth mentioning is the noise level. The fan used for cooling produces noticeable sound, which can be bothersome in a quiet gaming or entertainment setup. While it's not overly loud, it's still a factor to consider if you prefer a quieter environment.

On the positive side, the Xbox Fridge's aesthetic design is undeniably appealing. It accurately replicates the iconic Xbox console, and the attention to detail is commendable. The LED lighting adds a touch of gaming ambiance, enhancing the overall look of the fridge.

In summary, the Xbox Fridge is an okay product with some significant caveats. While it may not cool items as effectively as a standard refrigerator, it may still serve its purpose for casual use. However, the concern about overheating and the requirement to avoid prolonged usage are valid issues that raise doubts about its long-term reliability. If you're primarily interested in the design and gaming-themed aesthetics, this fridge may be worth considering. However, for those seeking optimal cooling performance and peace of mind regarding durability, alternative options may be more suitable.
