The author has, at the request of the publishers, considerably enlarged the work for the translator, and has added the literature of the subject to date the translation may, therefore, be looked upon as an equivalent of a new and improved edition of the original. Is not only a valuable manual of the religions of India, which marks a distinct step in the treatment of the subject, but also a useful work of reference. - Academy.
