When inspiration seems to flag and we cannot seem to find the words needed to produce that epic poem or finish the chapter or story whose fashioning simply refuses to come to fruition...sometimes stepping back and trying another approach can be incredibly useful in smashing the hellish wall. The triolet is a very simplistic fixed form of French origin dating as far back as the thirteenth century and has managed to keep itself finding a way to the poet's page throughout the centuries. So it was that He accepted a 30 day challenge to write at least one Triolet a day for 30 days to demonstrate the usefulness of the form in combatting both writer's block and/or a lack of time.
