Description

Detective Inspector Bill Forward is working at Hackney police station when he and a police constable answer a 999 call from a woman in distress. When they arrest the woman's husband, whose brutal attack has left her with terrible injuries, DI Forward considers the case closed...but he is wrong. Having serving his prison sentence, the sadistic Bob Plummer is hell-bent on revenge. After attacking the police constable who assisted in his arrest, Plummer goes looking for DI Forward. It is only a matter of time before he strikes again...the question is: Will DI Forward be ready?

Author Biography:

Born in Greenwich, south-east London, Ray Alan entered show business as a teenager. Although starting as a magician, he tried his hand at ventriloquism and went on to create his most successful character, 'Lord Charles.' He holds the record for the greatest number of appearances of any guest artistes on BBC TV's, The Good Old Days. He has written situation comedy for television and two radio series, as well as sketches for Morecambe and Wise and The Two Ronnies. He is now concentrating on his next novel. He lives with his wife, Jane, in Surrey.
