Valerie Allen, a psychologist, author, and educator, writes fiction, non-fiction, short stories, and children's books. She conducts seminars for educators, parents, medical and mental health professionals. Her presentations are based on her self-help book, "Beyond the Inkblots: Confusion to Harmony." This book focuses on taking charge of one's life. It is based on personal responsibility for the decisions we've made which have brought us to where we are in life. She is a popular speaker at writer's conferences, libraries and community events using her book, "Write, Publish, Sell! Quick, Easy, Inexpensive Ideas for the Marketing Challenged," 2nd Ed. Her children's chapter books are for independent readers in third through fifth grade. "Summer School for Smarties" and "Bad Hair, Good Hat, New Friends." She is a Licensed School Psychologist, a member of the Florida Association of School Psychologists and is board certified by the National Association of School Psychologists. She has served on the board of the Space Coast Writers' Guild and served in the National League of American Pen Women, Cape Canaveral Branch. She is the Director of Authors for Authors which promotes and supports writers. She lives in warm and sunny Florida where she enjoys time with family and friends.
