Eveline S. Litscher, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor in theDepartment of Developmental and Regenerative Biology at the IcahnSchool of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Previously aSwiss National Science Foundation post-doctoral fellow in theDepartment of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Roche Instituteof Molecular Biology, she has more than 20 years of researchexperience working on extracellular coat proteins of mammalian andnon-mammalian eggs, and has published more than 45 primarypapers and reviews. Paul M. Wassarman, Ph.D., is Professor in the Department ofDevelopmental and Regenerative Biology at the Icahn School ofMedicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Previously a facultymember in the Department of Biological Chemistry at Harvard MedicalSchool and in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology atthe Roche Institute of Molecular Biology, he has more than 35 yearsof research experience working on extracellular coat proteins ofmammalian and non-mammalian eggs, and has published more than 220primary papers and reviews.
