A Life of Privilege is a compilation of memories that Elinor Lamont Hallowell has carried with her all her life. It includes people and places which are near and dear to her heart. Most of the people featured in this book have now passed away, yet memories of them are so vivid that she can see them in her mind's eye. The exercise of writing this book has forced Elinor to put pen to paper and write her innermost thoughts. Recently, her middle brother, Ted, died. This has sped up the process: She no longer can procrastinate!

Author Biography

Elinor Lamont Hallowell grew up in Manhattan and attended the Brearley School before going on to Milton Academy. She graduated from Barnard College, and with her second husband has moved from Cambridge, Massachusetts to Tucson, Arizona.
