This darkly comedic French drama of family dysfunction reunites real life father and son Gerard Depardieu and Guillaume Depardieu in two devastatingly brilliant performances. Leo Shepard is a renowned French author who has just learnt he has won the Nobel Prize for literature. However, while recognised as a brilliant writer, Leo is an emotionally distant failure as a father. When his son Paul learns that Leo has won the Nobel Prize, he embarks on a long trip in a final attempt at connecting with his estranged father that he has not seen in years. But when things don't go as planned, a freak accident and the recent emotional trauma pushes Paul into kidnapping Leo. With the world believing Leo is dead, Paul and his father, the great author, have the opportunity to spend some 'quality time' together which could either save or destroy the family altogether.
