Lila Waterhouse has always wanted to live in a small town, so she jumps at the chance to move to Dansbridge, Virginia and take over as event planner and chief fund raiser for the local Community Center. Desperate to be a part of the community, Lila hopes she can make a good impression on the people of Dansbridge, but she worries that her new ideas for a long-standing local event may not be accepted by the close-knit community. Shortly after moving to town, Lila learns about some of the secrets hiding under Dansbridge's serene facade, and she starts to wonder if small-town life is all it's cracked up to be. And when she discovers the dead body of the local bank manager in the park one day, Lila must juggle planning the annual Homecoming Picnic and Gala with untangling the mysteries swirling around her.
