You don't even have to get the next books, you can read this and be happy with the ending. I wasn't all that sold on it, because Hades x Persephone retellings are just.. Everywhere, and in general they sometimes make me feel uncomfortable, especially with the many versions of Persephone's story. The story could have been so good, and I did catch on to a plot point pretty quickly, but I won't spoil it here. I knew what I was getting into when I bought this, however, I just feel like there could be a lot more of a development in their relationship. It feels very hollow and a bit one-dimensional. But I really did enjoy the descriptions of the gods, and a couple of the personalities they were given. A couple of the gods are what kept me going to the end, after I almost completely gave up on finishing it.
