Author Biography:

Cilliers Breytenbach, Dr. theol., Dr. theol. habil. (Munich 1984, 1986) is Professor of Literature, Religion and History of Earliest Christianity at Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin and Professor extraordinary for New Testament and Ancient Studies at Stellenbosch University. He has authored and edited various books, i.a. Neutestamentliche Wissenschaft nach 1945 (Neukirchen-Vluyn, 2008), Grace, Reconciliation, Concord (Leiden, 2010), and (with Christiane Zimmermann) Early Christianity in Lycaonia and Adjacent Areas (Leiden, 2018). Christoph Markschies, Dr. theol. habil. (Tubingen 1991, 1994), Dr. theol. h.c. mult. (Sibiu/Hermannstadt, Oslo, Lateran University Rome) is Professor for Ancient Christianity in Berlin, vice-president of the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften and member of numerous scholarly academies in Germany and abroad. His most recent publications include Christian Theology and Its Institutions in the Early Roman Empire (Waco, Tex., 2015) und Gottes Koerper: Judische, christliche und pagane Gottesvorstellungen in der Antike (Munich, 2016). Cilliers Breytenbach, Dr. theol., Dr. theol. habil. (Munchen 1984, 1986) ist Professor fur Literatur, Religion und Geschichte des Urchristentums an der Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin und ausserordentlicher Professor fur New Testament and Ancient Studies an der Stellenbosch University. Er ist der Autor und Herausgeber verschiedener Bucher, u.a. Neutestamentliche Wissenschaft nach 1945 (Neukirchen-Vluyn 2008), Grace, Reconciliation, Concord (Leiden 2010) und (mit Christiane Zimmermann) Early Christianity in Lycaonia and Adjacent Areas (Leiden 2018). Christoph Markschies, Dr. theol. habil. (Tubingen 1991, 1994), Dr. theol. h.c. mult.
