Description

A fun seek-and-find counting book for young children. Pictures in the book are whimsical paintings created by the Alison Barbaron team of Aaron Horrell and Barb Bailey, artists from Southeast Missouri. They wrote the poems for each picture. Alison Barbaron has previously published two color books and a picture book with poems. Be sure to look for the heart in each picture. Some are easy to see and some are not.

Author Biography:

Aaron Horrell is a self-taught painter, nature photographer, and avid fisherman. Aaron is the owner of the Painted Wren Art Gallery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He also writes a nature column in the Southeast Missourian newspaper called, "Through the Woods." Barb Bailey is a painter and an amateur photographer. Her family raises dairy goats. Barb uses some of the milk to make goat milk soap she sells at the Painted Wren Art Gallery and two local farmers' markets. Together these Southeast Missouri artists create BARBARON minis, 6" X 8" mini acrylic paintings on Masonite. Starting with dip art, they take turns painting whimsical animals in interesting, colorful backgrounds. Both Aaron and Barb are members of the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, Best of Missouri Hands, and the Cat Ranch Art Guild.
