Multi-platinum selling band Fall Out Boy are back with their
highly-anticipated sixth studio album American Beauty/American Psycho, featuring
the smash-hit “Centuries,” UK single “American Beauty/American Psycho”
and brand new track, “The Kids Aren’t Alright.".
“Centuries” has been certified platinum & has been streamed over
50 million times between YouTube and Spotify alone. Additionally, the band have
released a special video for title track “American Beauty/American Psycho”.
The track samples iconic rock ‘n roll band Mötley Crüe’s “Too Fast For
Love” and was produced by Ed Banger Records’ French electro DJ
SebastiAn.
Says Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy:
“From Mötley Crüe, I figured it out: putting your heart in it is the
most important part. They have always done what is authentic to them. Much of
the frenetic energy of AB/AP comes from its Mötley Crüe sample.” Wentz
continues, “Too Fast For Love was Mötley’s Take This to Your Grave –
they made it themselves because no one was interested in signing a punk band
wearing too much make up back then. Thirty five years later, they're still
selling out arenas and not playing by anyone's rules. If there had been the
Internet back then, they would've broken it.”
