And Then There Were None is a quite different murder story to all other Christie novels. 10 people are invited to an island under the pretext of work but after arriving each one is revealed as a murderer. The story follows the rhyme 10 Little Indians and each of the guests are murdered according to the rhyme, until the last person discovers who is killing them. A dark, very different mystery but well watchable and will keep you guessing until the end. One of Agatha Christie's best novels.
A typical Agatha Christie style plot with so many twists and turns it's hard to know what to believe. A plot that's a little passe these days – a discrete bunch of people summoned to an old house in the middle of nowhere, and stuck there, to be killed off. But the excellent cast keeps the pace up and its well worth a viewing.
And Then There Were None
A three part drama – And Then There Were None, one of Agatha Christie’s most popular classic thrillers, tells the story of ten individuals invited to an isolated island, where they are killed off one by one by an unknown killer. It’s Christie at her darkest and most sinister and has seen many adaptations in the past. This latest incarnation returns to the dark roots of the story and will be written by Sarah Phelps (Great Expectations, Oliver Twist) and produced by Mammoth Screen (Parade’s End, Endeavour).
