Description

Chris Sanders is an Irish born, Liverpool raised, now New Zealand based sing-songwriter and Children's book author. Chris believes that his talent for singing and writing stems from having been subjected to endless traditional Irish story-telling songs, classic Liverpool music like the Beatles (of course) and having 3 amazing girls around him daily in his wife and 2 daughters to give him endless inspiration. His debut book Angel Star which also included a CD of the song (also called Angel Star) was released on October 20 2016 and went straight to #1 in the iTunes Children's Charts, #8 in the general Pop Charts, #16 in the Canadian and #33 in the Australian iTunes Charts respectively. Further, Chris re-released Angel Star with the Browns Bay School Choir on Dec 23 with the song debuting at #1 on the iTunes Children's charts where it remained until Christmas day. As an original songwriter, Chris has performed with and supported the likes of Tim Finn (Crowded House), Dave Dobbyn, Anika Moa, Don McGlashun, Goldenhorse, Boh Runga and many more. Chris Sanders has also had a single included on an NZ on Air Hit Disk with the likes of Neil Finn.
