In July 2013 the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles reached No.1 on the Amazon pop charts in the US with their remarkable second album ‘Angels And Saints At Ephesus’. The album outsold Kanye West, Daft Punk and Black Sabbath and has also held the No.1 position in the US classical charts for 14 consecutive weeks.
The album features 17 English and Latin pieces sung a capella recorded at the Priory (their home) in the heart of America. Renowned for their pure bell-like choir sound, the Benedictines live a private life and we are privileged to have this unique insight into their community. Remarkably their success is the result of extremely little exposure to media. Produced by 9-time Grammy Winner Christopher Alder and sound engineered to pristine vocal perfection by 2-time Grammy winner Mark Donahue.
