Description

Pope Francis' words to those seeking to give a firm profession of faith--which has always been the particular effect Catholic tradition has ascribed to confirmation--ring true for all of us. In Anointed, Jayme Stuart Wolfe has compiled the Holy Father's words about wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord as special gifts for those continuing the commitment of their baptism into confirmation and beyond, as well as appropriate Scripture readings and prayers.

Author Biography:

Pope Francis, born Jorge Borgoglio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is the 265th successor of St. Peter as Bishop of Rome. He has reigned as Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church since 2013. A wife and mother of eight, Jaymie Stuart Wolfe is an editor of children's and teen books at Pauline Books & Media. Jaymie's biweekly column has appeared in Boston's archdiocesan newspaper, The Pilot, since 1995. Since her conversion to the Catholic faith in 1983, Jaymie has directed parish adult faith formation, children's sacramental preparation, and liturgical music ministry. Jaymie combines teaching with original inspirational music under Loaves and Fishes Ministry. She frequently speaks to groups on living and sharing the faith, family life, and answering God's call to holiness and mercy. Devoted to the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, Jaymie is a graduate of Harvard University and holds a Master of Arts in Ministry degree from St. John's Seminary, Boston.
