This is one of the most gripping books I've ever read. It starts with a familiar scene – the amnesiac hero finds himself holding a bloody knife and standing over a dead woman – but that concept grows into something unique and fascinating. Austin Lively can't step through a door without holding his breath. Some magical force jumps him between two realities and dumps him into danger every time. When he's in one world time pauses in the other, so each time he flees from a deadly threat he has to face it again the second he returns to that world. This is so much fun it left me breathless. Highly recommended, with fully fleshed and fantastic characters that complement a deeply satisfying plot. Can't wait to read the next one!
