Jackie Watson is from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK and an outdoor enthusiast. Living close to the banks of the River Tyne she is often found striding in the countryside with her partner and their extremely cute and characterful Miniature Schnauzer, pottering in their allotment, running or occasionally cycling. There have been many travelling adventures to far-flung or closer to home destinations, including her own escape to Greece. After twenty years in marketing Jackie took a leap of faith and embarked on a new life as a women's contemporary fiction author. However, writing is not a new love, but an ongoing passion. And the Apokeri Bay trilogy was born from a recurring dream of a feisty female protagonist who unexpectedly falls in love with a quaint seaside village on the Greek island of Lefkada. In her uplifting and thought-provoking writing Jackie weaves in what we all love about great fiction - the chance to step into the world of somebody else and share in their story.
