Description

In the fall of 2005, renowned culinary experts Cheryl and Bill Jamison packed their bags and set off a three-month-long odyssey of the palate, using their frequent flyer miles to sample sumptuous cuisines across the globe. They make a stop in Bali in search of the authentic flavors of the central highlands, and Australia to taste its foods and wines; in Singapore they sample exquisite street food, and in Thailand they discover luscious contrasts in textures and flavors. China offers delicious Chiu Chow cuisine, and Southern India, mouthwatering and eye-burning spicy cooking. In South Africa they embark on a safari cookout—a stark contrast to the simple fare of Provence and the Creole passions of Salvador, Brazil. Inspiring and entertaining, Around the World in Eighty Dinners is unforgettable fare for body, mind, and soul.
