Despite elements of Pocahontas and being similar to events in America's past this film is outstanding. It is the leading film in the new 3D era and the 3D effects are superb. A lot of people have criticized the plot, many decreeing that it doesn't make sense but I disagree. Sure the 3D effects are the film's party piece, but in no way do they override the plot. Then we come to the acting. Sam Worthington is brilliant as the films hero, Zoe Saldana is great as the Na'vi Princess, Sigourney Weaver veers between happy environmentalist and chain smoker, Giovanni Ribisi is like a whiny boss and Stephen Laing is brilliant as the main villian.
I have already ordered my copy of what is currently the highest grossing film of all time and I look forward to the day it arrives on my doorstep!!!
