Description

Today is five-year-old Averi's first day of kindergarten. She is so excited! But when her mother reminds her to wear her glasses, Averi's smile slips. She is worried the other kids will make fun of her because wearing glasses makes her different from everyone else. But when she gets to school she is in for a big surprise. This colorful and charmingly illustrated picture book for ages 3-8 will help children overcome anxieties and insecurities, and understand that everyone should love themselves just the way they are. Perfect for parents, caregivers, and teachers wanting to show their children that they aren't alone in their differences, and that diversity is a wonderful thing.
