I call this a ‘soft’ anatomy book – in fact, a great ‘soft’ anatomy reference. The diagrams are very well done, they relay all the information one would hope for if wanting to learn the names of muscles and bones in the body. It is a reference book dedicated to the human form. As mentioned, the diagrams (drawings) are ‘soft’ in their nature – soft rendering, shading and detailed. They are not of an ‘artistic’ nature (and the book never claimed to be that). It is a beautifully presented reference book and much (in fact, all) can be learned from this book about the structure of the human body and how different parts connect. It has certainly gained a spot on my shelf of human anatomy reference books.
