Going undercover as a rancher to discover who the kingpin of the drug/weapons pipeline coming out of Mexico through New Mexico was, US Marshal Steve Medford had not planned on meeting Kendra Wilson and falling in love. This presented a huge challenge in not involving Kendra in the danger he faced in uncovering the local kingpin and who was actually behind the pipeline, and shutting it down.
