I loved the first Bioshock, and waited impatiently for the second.
This one is just as pretty as the first one, with gorgeous detailed
environments to explore. Some new plasmids give some awesome results, and
it's fun to see Rapture from Big Daddies point of view.
But, it's missing the creepyness of the first one. It doesn't have enough
tension, and it doesn't really have any surprises. I think that detracts alot
since it was the creepy factor in the first game that appealed so much.
Nothing lives up to the theatre level of the first game, but even in saying
that it's still a very good game, I enjoyed it alot and I didn't think it was
a waste of money to get it.
You find out more of the history of Rapture and that alone makes it worth
playing. Still lots of secrets and weapons and stuff, actually too many
weapons – everywhere you go you trip over something.
Pretty good for an entertaining weekend, but not as good as the original.
