Description

Is it possible to be something Redemption cannot reach? I both hated and loved the man, which confused me. It wasn't like me to hate, but he wasn't like most people. There was something about him that both thrilled and chilled me . . . . "What are you so afraid of, Father?" My brother asked. "That man . . ." Father said under his breath, with his head turned away from me. He squared his shoulders, blocking my view of my brother. I strained my ears to listen. " . . . That man wants Yorgos," he whispered. "What do you mean he wants him?" Yorgos is destined for service to God. Mister Dumirtu has other plans for young Yorgos; plans that seem to contradict his vocation. What happens when a child fulfills his dream of becoming a monk only to find a secret that leads him down a darker path-whether he wishes to follow or not?

Author Biography:

J Michael Braiden has been threatening to write a book since he was ten years old. Now at age 45, he's finished two! J Michael was fortunate enough to grow up in Santa Barbara, California, but not rich enough to stay there. He spent his twenties in Portland, Oregon, where his mother, brothers, and sisters still reside. After eleven years of chronic seasonal affective disorder caused by the ubiquitous Northwest rain, he fled back to sunny Calfornia, determined to find a way to pay what he calls the "sun tax." He hopes his first two books and the subsequent volumes assist him on this journey. On a more personal note: J Michael Braiden
