Description

Africa has extraordinary potential. Unfortunately, much of Africa has struggled to find political stability and prosperity due in large part to the dark legacies of slavery and colonialism which has contributed to poor leadership. Misconceptions abound within the continent and without, making it difficult for thoughtful leaders to succeed and for outsiders to provide meaningful help. Something must change. In Breaking the Myth of Leadership: The Solution to Africa's Crisis, author Nana Osei-Bonsu Jr. uses the timeless wisdom of the Bible to explore the concept of leadership and to offer suggestions for how young professionals can help establish stability in Africa's more turbulent regions. Here are just a few things you'll learn in this book: The difference between a leader and a manager The stages and classifications of leadership Tips on time management, planning, and other facets of leadership Specific solutions to corruption, military governance, and other issues affecting Africa Leadership isn't about ruling over others-rather, leadership is about influencing one's environment to create the best possible outcome. It requires patience, thoughtfulness, and discipline. God has big ideas for Africa, and it's up to the next generation to see them through.
