Discouragement and the feeling of defeat ran rampant through my mind. I felt defeated in my efforts to being what I thought was, a "great wife." Little did I know, God was using moments like these to refine, and redefine, the wife that I would be on a continuous journey to become. God encouraged me to take the limits off of the stigma around, "Happily ever after," and placed the responsibility on me to help create my own ever after. I began looking closely into my own issues, and commitment to my marriage. I discovered there was work to be done; not just in my husband, but also in me!
