Description

FIVE QUESTS FOR THE MAN WITH ANYBODY'S FACE. For the last quarter of the 20th Century the Voice, first of his generation's Independent Operators, fought to make the system work better. Here are some of the highs and one abysmal low in his career. Crime of the Arts: Mix a sociopath rich kid with a paramilitary cult leader. Add a damsel in distress. The Voice rips through a literal mountain of trouble to find a gallery of horror. (Complete here, for the first time.) Explosive Justice: Another Independent Operator gets called in to back up the Voice. Can the two stop domestic terrorists ready to kill in wholesale lots? Grand Opening - Under Fire: Wrong place. Wrong time. The Voice goes to make a deposit at a bank, then has trouble with his withdrawal. Plus two more adventures. Sixty-thousand words of high powered adventure.

Author Biography:

Erwin K. Roberts will be glad to tell you that "pulp fiction" is alive and well, no thanks to the film of the same name. By the time the fiction magazines printed on cheap pulp newsprint finally disappeared the type of stories they told had moved on to other media. To paperback books of various genre. To adventure films. To any number of television shows. And even comic strips and books. Today Clive Cussler and many others write pulp fiction adventures as once did Max Brand, Louis L'Amour, Earl Stanley Gardner, and hundreds of others. Erwin, retired from both Civil Service and the U.S. Army/Missouri National Guard, and a long time Kansas City film critic and cable television personality, has lots of exciting stories to tell. His work appears in Airship-27 anthologies such as Jim Anthony - Super Detective vol. 1 and vol. 4. Not to mention The Moon Man vol. 1 and Sinbad vol. 2. Airship-27 released his short novel Dr. Watson's American Adventure. (A five thousand word self-contained excerpt is available at http: //www.planetarystories.com/watson.htm ) Also in production from Airship-27 is a Masked Rider western story. Erwin's stories have also appeared in Pro-Se Productions anthology The Pulptress. His Sons of Thor required two full issues two issues of Pre Se Presents to tell. Plus he has self-published his second generation pulp hero the Voice in the novel Plutonium Nightmare. Now the second volume of the Voice's adventures is ready.
