Description

Is that new rescued kitty you adopted not very friendly? Does he run from your children? This book is intended primarily to help teach children about gentle and kind touch on cats. Even very young children can learn about how a kitty thinks and feels. They can also learn acceptable behavior around their kitties and other animals and how that can result in a furry family member that's crazy about them! The lessons within can also show some helpful techniques for adults and children over the age of 8, to help adult stray or rescued cats brought into a home to learn trust and the value of kind touch. It describes simple strokes to use to achieve these outcomes. And they are simple enough to guide young children on how to do them. The results? You can develop strong trust and bonding between you and family members with your cats, and relaxation for all!

Author Biography:

Heidi L. Schlatter is the author of "Merlin, The Cat Who Thought He Wasn't", the first book in the Rescued Animal Tails series. Ms. Schlatter, was raised in rural Connecticut and remembers having pets throughout her youth, and the lessons taught to her by her parents to always respect animals and nature and to live with a kind heart. Many of her studies have pertained to Animal Science and she has been employed in animal related industries in the past. Currently she sells holistic pet foods and volunteers at Mary's Kitty Korner Adoption Center in Granby, CT. Her desire has always been to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and children. She determined that writing a series of rescued animal stories for children could provide an avenue to do so. And she's hoping to help children and adults alike learn to understand the nature of animals and realize they too have feelings and deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
