These 3 discs are just so funny. Brian Murphy is hilarious and so is Mark Benton. Absolutely top class English actors and classical English humour. Can definitely recommend these discs. I enjoyed them very much.
Absolutely brilliant.
“…an utter delight – funny, touching and beautifully observed.” – The Daily Mail, UK
Good adventures are always paved with disaster! Cheers & Tears (aka The Booze Cruise) is a hilarious and bittersweet UK comedy drama collection, following an eccentric group of friends and neighbours as they embark on their disaster-prone day trips.
Starring Martin Clunes, Neil Pearson, Mark Benton, Ian Richardson and Brian Murphy.
With a mix of idiosyncratic personalities all crammed into one vehicle, including a perpetual optimist, a sarcastic womaniser, a cantankerous old geezer, a naive young fiance and a snooty businessman, the outings are bound to be lively – and full of bickering, dirty tricks and chaos!
Complete series includes all 3 made for TV movies – total running time 285 minutes.
The Booze Cruise:
A group of friends decide to cross the English Channel to stock up on cheap
booze, but their journey to a French hypermarket hits stormy waters and a simple
shopping expedition begins to turn into a nightmare.
The Treasure Hunt:
The gang embarks on a two day charity treasure hunt, and chaos rules from the
moment they set off.
The Scattering:
Grace is determined to follow her late mother’s last wishes to have her ashes
scattered upon the Yorkshire moors. As Dave has business in Yorkshire, they
combine both events in a fun weekend away. But nothing goes according
to plan…
