Description

Timothy Ryan had an ideal upbringing. He was born into a loving family, had many friends, grew up in a nice neighborhood, and received a good education. Still, none of that was enough to prevent him from falling into the clutches of addiction. What many considered to be typical teenage experimentation, such as smoking pot and drinking alcohol at parties, quickly led down a dark path that cost him everything. Timothy went from having the world at his feet to homeless, living on the streets, and addicted to heroin. In his own words, Chronic Junkie: A Story of Addiction, Despair, Unconditional Love, Hope, and Triumph describes, in full detail, the decisions and lifestyle choices that carried Timothy from one extreme to another. His story will take you on an emotional roller coaster, one that dives deep into his addiction and ultimately comes out the other side to provide hope for those still struggling.

Author Biography:

Timothy J. Ryan lives in New Jersey with his wife, Abigail, and their two rabbits. He loves to play basketball, write, spend time with family and friends, and, most importantly, use his experiences and knowledge to help others. He graduated from Rutgers University with his BASW and MSW and now works with adults in Union County who struggle with opioid use. Chronic Junkie is Timothy's debut work.
