What this film is about almost never appeals to me, I absolutely hate films like this.. Cloverfield however was actually really good.. The camera work in this film perfectly suits the movie, and gives a great sense of immersion.. The BluRay transfer of this film is sharp where possible, but becuase of the grade of camera used to actually film the movie, it wont be on the top of your list to show off you new BluRay Player.. The audio on the BluRay version is excellent.. Its intelligent use of the surrounds really put you into the film.. I dont want to mention much about the plot for fear of spoiling it for anyone who has yet to see this, but I can say that it's the best of its type, and the BluRay version does offer a worthy upgrade over the standard def versions..

Crisp quality with blu-ray, but the huge king kong monster :) just plainly ruined the movie. There was no mention of how the creature got in the city, got on earth or any background information.

I will be selling my copy for sure!

The plot for the movie was good, just how the camera work was done from the first person perspective made it hard on the eyes with the jittery motion. Imagine running with a video camera and playing back the footage on a big screen gives you an idea of how hard this movie was to watch.
