Description

Over 1000 examples of published methods for the preparation of monofunctional compounds are presented in this book. In addition, it contains nearly 900 up-to-date examples of preparations of difunctional compounds and various functional groups, logically organized according to reactions producing products with the same functional group, and further divided into sections based on the functional group of the starting material. Included is a section classifying the preparation of oxides of nitrogen (eg nitro compounds, nitrones, and N-oxides), sulfur (sulfoxides and sulfones), and selenium (selenoxides and Se dioxides). Each literature citation is accompanied by a complete author list.
