Constellations of Bramble Thrashing constitutes my efforts to fathom a way out of loss, separation, and distance through writing, drinking, and attempting to escape both of those activities as I hope to find a new solitude across the last 3 years while living in four different states (Illinois, Texas, Kansas, and California). The pages that contain concrete poems seek to give substance to this affect, while those more traditional poems in the submission pose intra/inter-spective questions. The text explores writing with substances in an effort to remake the Self.
