Description

Greetings! You are cordially invited to join us inside the Country Club. Our story takes place in the quaint Midwestern hamlet of Sylvan. It begins in the aftermath of a high-society murder that has shaken its prestigious Lake Country Club. Through these next pages you are taken on an incredible journey through two dramatic courtroom trials as well as a bitter divorce, a storybook love affair, a gala wedding, and a hotly contested local election. Tying all of the threads together is a bone-chilling showdown on the club's picturesque golf course that pushes our main characters to the brink, shattering common pretenses and revealing the rawest of human feelings - on truth, love, loyalty, and self. Amidst the climactic storm the members of the fated foursome are each forced to play the parts of lawyer, witness, accused, judge and jury. Where the legal system failed, it is instead in this rare back-to-basics 'trial' that we hope to once and for all unmask the murderer. So, please read on if you want to find out: Who really killed Thomas Marsh? But be careful...because the answer to this question might be just as ugly as the crime itself.

Author Biography:

County Club is told in two parts. Alvin C. Hirsch drafted the storyline for 'Part One' of the book. After Alvin's death in the 1970s the unfinished manuscript was discovered in his office desk by his children and then given to his young grandson Eric H. Kessler. Some four decades later Eric surmised as to his late grandfather's intentions to add 'Part Two' and complete the novel. Alvin C. Hirsch, an accountant by trade and avid sports fan by nature, lived with his family in Brooklyn New York. Eric H. Kessler, an accomplished scholar and author, was born in Brooklyn and lives with his family in nearby New Jersey.
