This game is fine if you want some extra FF7 content, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone new to the series.
The gameplay loop.is.pretty good, and especially suited for handhelds. However the dialogue is absolutely cringey. I haven't got for enough through the story to see if it's a standard JRPG affair or whether it is as cringey as the dialogue.

But as his adventure unfolds, he discovers the dark secrets of Shinra’s experiments and the monsters they create. The game features a number of characters from the FINAL FANTASY VII franchise such as Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith and others.
