Dansette Dansette is the new album from US 4-piece Tender Trap - their first with two new members!
Founding members Amelia Fletcher & Rob Pursey were in influential indie-pop originals (& John Peel favourites) Talulah Gosh & Heavenly, who released records on Sarah, K & Stephen Pastel’s 53rd & 3rd.
They’re joined by guitarist Elizabeth Morris (‘All Darlin’) & drummer Katrina Dixon, both of whom also add vocal harmony which elevate the songs. Tender Trap now combines the harmonies of classic girl-group pop with the stripped-down beats & dirty guitars of the Shop Assistants & The Vaselines.
Bristling with crunchy guitars & effortlessly catchy tunes (not to mention cheeky lyrics), Dansette Dansette proves why Fletcher & Pursey have been such a huge influence on today’s generation of pop bands.
