"Dark but fascinating"
5 stars"

Like Farrier’s other work, this is a deep dive into a very niche but fascinating topic. At times quite dark, and very personal to the film-maker, but also strangely feels like a situation we have all been in at one time or another.

Description

David Farrier's Mister Organ

Journalist and filmmaker David Farrier (Tickled, Dark Tourist) unwittingly stumbles into a game of cat and mouse with a mystery man creating havoc in his neighborhood, wheel-clamping cars at a local antique store. That clamper was Michael Organ, and little did Farrier know that delving deeper into who Organ really is, would be a thrilling and tension-filled three-year-long investigation.

Critic Reviews:

  • " It's one of the best-looking documentaries ever made in this country-cinematographer Dominic Fryer actually manages to do something new and interesting with 1:1 interviews, and certain locations take on a truly sinister quality thanks to creative framing. " – Dominic Corry (New Zealand Herald)
  • " It will both shock and amuse in equal measure. " – Rob Aldam (Backseat Mafia)
  • " Mister Organ is a remarkable film: A comedic horror of a documentary, a simple piece of investigative journalism descending into madness, and a spotlight on the human spirit’s capacity for darkness. " – Kevin Fox Jr. (Paste Magazine)
